San Marcos nips SOU in second extra period 9/8/2014 6:29:00 PM SOU Sports Information SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Southern Oregon University women's soccer team took the 15th-ranked team in the NAIA to a second extra period Monday, but that's where Cal State San Marcos stuck a dagger in the Raiders and pulled out a 2-1 win. Presley Lambert (Santa Clarita, Calif./Hart) provided SOU (1-4 overall) with an early lead when she scored her first goal of the season in the 18th minute. The Cougars (2-0-1) tied it on Amy Alber's header 10 minutes later, and won it in during the 102nd minute when Amy Young converted another header. Sarah Campbell was responsible for assisting the winner, and Megan Pfrunder and Katie Largent were both credited on the equalizer. Setting up Lambert's score was Megan McArthur (San Jose, Calif./Presentation), who now has two assists to her credit to go along with two goals. The Raiders wouldn't put another shot on goal for the rest of the afternoon. San Marcos had nine, and a 13-3 advantage in shots overall. Kylie Moltzen (Fremont, Calif./Mission San Jose) recorded four saves and Devon Walker (Yelm, Wash./Yelm ) three for SOU. The Raiders will play the second part of their three-game trip at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Concordia (Calif.).
