CALDWELL, Idaho – Airashay Rogers scored a career-high 22 points, as No. 24 ranked Eastern Oregon held off a College of Idaho second half rally to top the Yotes, 67-60, inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

Rogers scored 13 first half points, including a pair of 3-point baskets, as the Mountaineers (14-4, 6-1 CCC) built a 36-18 lead late in the period.

The Lady Yotes (5-11, 4-3) would not wilt on their home court, as nine consecutive points from Elisha Hensey points fueled an 11-0 C of I run, cutting the margin to 39-29 at the break. Brittany Wirth logged a 3-point play, followed by a triple of her own, helping the Yotes get within 43-40 with 16-minutes to play in the contest.

However, Eastern turned it over to local product Maya Ay You, as the former Middleton Viking scored seven-straight points to get the Mounties lead back to double digits – with EOU holding off a late C of I surge.

Another former Middleton star, Madeline Laan, had 16 points and eight rebounds for Eastern, as the visitors had a commanding 45-27 edge on the glass.  Ah You scored 11 off the bench, with post Kassy Larson scoring nine points with nine rebounds.

Hensey led C of I with 21 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, while Jamiece Yizar had 14 points and five rebounds.  Wirth filled up the stat sheet with eight points, five rebounds, and five steals.

The Yotes were a perfect 13-of-13 from the foul line – the first time C of I has ever had a perfect night from the stripe when attempting 10-or-more freebies (the school record, however, is based on 20-or-more attempts, with the Lady Yotes making 22-of-23 vs. Oregon Tech in 2008).

C of I returns to action next Friday, traveling to Corban for a 5:30 p.m. (PT) tip-off.
