Adidas Team of the Week Announced
LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University women’s basketball team has been named the Adidas Team of the Week for January 19-25.
Eastern defended home court with wins against Oregon Tech and No. 12 Southern Oregon University to take sole possession of first place in the CCC standings.
In the 78-66 win over OIT, The Mountaineers nailed 13 three-pointers to pull away from the Owls. Maloree Moss led the way with 16-points while running mate Jordan Klebaum hit 5 from behind the arc for 15-points.
Against No. 12 Southern Oregon, EOU withstood a 16-2 run late in the game and needed overtime to upset the Raiders. Maya Ah You poured in 31-points to lead all scorers. Ah You was five for eight from three point range and a perfect eight for eight from the charity stripe.
Eastern (17-5, 9-2 CCC) will resume CCC action next week as they travel to Warner Pacific and Concordia.
