The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period of January 19 – 25.

Cyrus Ward
Men’s Basketball
Corban’s Cyrus Ward has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Ward, a junior forward from Gig Harbor, Wash., led the Warriors to a pair of victories over Northwest and Evergreen, scoring 49 points and racking up 14 boards in the process.
 
He was extremely efficient from the field, making 21-of-27 shots.

Travis Simpson
Men’s Indoor Field
Eastern Oregon’s Travis Simpson has been named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Simpson, a senior from Redmond, Ore., started the meet by hitting the NAIA "A" standard and winning the high jump clearing 2.10 m (6-10 3/4). He followed by hitting his second NAIA "A" standard in the triple jump with 14.33 m (47-0 1/4). His triple jump mark is the second best mark in EOU Indoor track All-Time list. In the long jump, Simpson finished at 6.82 m (22-4 1/2), which was 1 centimeter off his personal best.

Sean Saxton
Men’s Indoor Track
College of Idaho’s Sean Saxton has been named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
 
Saxton, a senior from Boise, Idaho, hit the NAIA "A" qualifying mark in the 1000 meter run finishing at 2:29.22 (3rd fastest time in the NAIA) at the Jackson's Invite
 
It was a personal best for Saxton in the event.

Maya Ah You
Women’s Basketball
The Eastern Oregon’s Maya Ah You has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Ah You, a freshman guard from Middleton, Idaho, led the Mountaineers with a career-high 31 points off the bench in route to a 77-65, victory over No. 12 Southern Oregon.
 
On Saturday, Ah You was 5-of-8 from behind the arc. Ah You averaged 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game this weekend.

Harley McBride
Women’s Indoor Field
Eastern Oregon’s Harley McBride has been named the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
McBride, a sophomore from Burbank, Wash., hit an NAIA "A" standard for the second straight week, as she jumped 1.70 m (5-7) to finish third in the high jump.

Amy Pfaff
Women’s Indoor Track
College of Idaho’s Amy Pfaff has been named the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the week.
 
Pfaff, a freshman from Pasco, Wash., set a new C of I record and hit NAIA "A" standard in the 1,000-meters with a time of 2:57.62 in a race full of NCAA Division I talent .
