CALDWELL, Idaho – Kylie Porter recorded 15 kills and Sierra Porter recorded her first career 20-20 match, as the Lady Yotes defeated Northwest Christian in three sets inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

Sierra Porter had 33 assists and 20 digs in the win for the Lady Yotes (12-9, 10-3 CCC), as C of I withstood nine services aces from the visiting Beacons.
 
Chandler Gabrio had seven kills and four blocks for Northwest Christian (10-9, 3-9 CCC) who kept things close all three sets, only losing by a combined 12 points for the night.
 
C of I traded points with the Beacons throughout the opening set, grabbing an early 8-5 lead that would prove to be the largest lead either team would have for the first two sets. Tied at 21, C of I would rattle off four of five points to claim the opening stanza 25-22.
 
The Beacons led four separate times throughout the second set, including a 20-18 advantage. The Lady Yotes would rally to claim the set two thanks to an onslaught on kills and a service ace to win 25-23.
 
NCU had their largest lead of the evening midway through the third and final set, up 16-13, only to see C of I close the match on a 12-2 run.
 
Sierra Porter had a game-high 20 digs to go with her 33 assists. Kylie Porter led all players with 15 kills; Randi Sturtz added another eight.
 
The win keeps the Lady Yotes within a half-game of No.12 ranked Southern Oregon for the second place slot in the Cascade Conference standings.
 
The Lady Yotes will be back in action next Friday night when they travel to Washington for a  pair of games against Northwest and Evergreen.
