Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Oct. 5-11.
Ray Schireman
Men’s Cross Country
Southern Oregon’s Ray Schireman has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Schireman, a sophomore from Medford, Ore., led a pack of Raiders during a stellar team effort in 15th place of 240 total runners at the S.F. State Invitational. He finished the 8,000-meter course in 25:16.7, and the top-eight SOU runners were separated by just 80 seconds. SOU took fourth in the team standings.

Jacob Berg
Men’s Golf
Warner Pacific’s Jacob Berg has been named the Red Lion Men’s Golfer of the Week.
Berg, a junior from Vancouver, Wash., Tied for the highest finishing CCC player at the Warner Pacific Invite, shooting a career best even par 219.

Daniel Christenson
Men’s Soccer - Defensive
Northwest’s Daniel Christenson has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Christenson, a sophomore from Bothell, Wash., Made key saves, totaling 15 in both games to post his third and fourth consecutive shutouts. Has helped anchor the defense which has helped the Eagles win their past five straight games and improving from a 2-5 start to a record of 7-5.

Nolan Sherwood
Men’s Soccer- Offensive
Rocky Mountain’s Nolan Sherwood has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Sherwood, a freshman from Las Vegas, Nev., scored the game winner in both games over the weekend including the only goal in 1-0 win over #7 Corban University (NAIA National game of the week). He now has 11 goals and 4 assists on the year.

Amanda Miller
Volleyball – Attacker
Eastern Oregon’s Amanda Miller has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
Miller, a sophomore from Kennewick, Wash., earned 17 kills vs. Corban - a career-high effort in a three-set match. In addition, double-figure kills in two wins vs. (RV) C of I and NCU.
Honorable mention: Tyana Andrews, SOU, Janessa White, WPC, Mattie Jo Johnson.
Emmaline Stockton
Volleyball - Defensive
Northwest’s Emmaline Stockton has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
Stockton, a freshman from Lucas Tex., ranks sixth in the CCC in digs and led the time in digs in last weekend’s matches at SOU and OIT totaling 47 digs.

Rachelle Chamberlain
Volleyball - Setter
Eastern Oregon’s Rachelle Chamberlain has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
Perhaps the reason EOU took down (RV) C of I in four sets on Tuesday, Chamberlain, a junior from Challis, Wash., dished out 51 assists and tallied 11 digs. In the process, she became the all-time assist leader at EOU.

Jessa Perkinson
Women’s Cross Country
Southern Oregon’s Jessa Perkinson has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Perkinson, a sophomore from Roseburg, Ore., had the best day of her career Friday at Speedway Meadows in Golden Gate Park, finishing fourth of 232 runners in the S.F. State Invitational among mostly NCAA competition. She was eight seconds off the win, 1:39 ahead of the next SOU finisher and led the Raiders to eighth place of 22 teams.

Natalie Mullins
Women’s Golf
College of Idaho’s Natalie Mullins has been named the Red Lion Women’s Golfer of the Week.
Mullins, a freshman from Meridian, Idaho, Tied for second overall (first among CCC golfers) at the WPC Invitational, helping C of I to a third-place finish (first among CCC teams).

Jaclyn McQuiston
Women’s Soccer Defensive
Southern Oregon’s Jaclyn McQuiston has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
McQuiston, a senior from San Ramon, Calif., played all 197 minutes over the weekend to anchor the SOU defense as the Raiders won their third and fourth straight road games. SOU has won five of six overall, allowing two goals during that stretch.

Jamiece Yizar
Women’s Soccer Offensive
College of Idaho’s Jamiece Yizar has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Yizar, a junior from Pocatello, Idaho, is the NAIA's leader in game winning goals and CCC's scoring leader. She helped the Yotes to two huge road wins - picking up her 5th and 6th game winning goals of the season...now has a league-best 13 goals on the season.
