PORTLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific ran their winning streak to four matches with a 3-0 sweep of cross-town foe Multnomah University tonight.    

The Basics

• Score: Warner Pacific 3, Multnomah 0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-19)
• Records: WPC (8-9, 5-7 CCC), MU (2-13, 0-12 CCC)
• Location: C.C. Perry Gym, Portland, Ore.
• The Short Story: Warner Pacific defeated first-year CCC member Multnomah in straight sets tonight at C.C. Perry Gym. The Knights forced the visiting Lions into 24 hitting errors resulting in a 2015 opponent low .038 attacking percentage. Five different Knights registered 5 kills or better, led by Janessa White's nine. 

How it Happened

• After exchanging points until the score of set one read 4-4, WP then scored six in a row behind the serving of Janessa White
• Another 6-0 run from the home team made the socre 16-5,and the Knights cruised to the set one win.
• Set two saw the squads trade points until 8-8, but Warner Pacific again took control with a 6-0 burst.

• Multnomah fought for every point and remained within striking distance after a WP service error brought the score to 19-14.
• Five quick points put the frame out of reach and gave the Knights a 2-0 set advantage. 
• The Lions were determined to make it a competitive match and scored the first three points of set 3.
• MU had the makings of prolonging the match after appearing to register a kill and draw within 17-18, but the play was initiated by an incorrect server and the point awarded to WPC.
• The two-point swing took the wind out of the Lion sails, and Warner Pacific went on the claim the set 25-19.
