Battlin’ Bears record second-straight shutout
BILLINGS– October 18, 2015 –
The Rocky Mountain College men’s soccer team recorded its second consecutive Cascade Collegiate Conference shutout with a 3-0 decision over Warner Pacific University, Sunday at Wendy’s Field in Billings (Mont.).
Freshman Steven Forbes put the Battlin’ Bears on the board at the 30-minute mark when he scored on a free kick.
Senior Jack Clancy scored the first of his two goals at 54:28, when he connected on a penalty kick. The Westmeath, Ireland native, topped off the scoring with an unassisted marker at 63:36, giving hin 15 goals on the season.
The Battlin’ Bears finished with 14 shots on goal, while holding the Knights to two.
The win moves the Battlin’ Bears to 14-1 on the season.
Rocky will take their 9-1 Cascade record on the road Oct. 23 at Northwest University (Kirkland, Wash.) and Evergreen University (Olympia, Wash.) Oct. 24.
