The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Oct. 12-18.

Ray Schireman
Men’s Cross Country
 
Southern Oregon’s Ray Schireman has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Schireman, a sophomore from Medford, Ore., claimed his first individual victory of the season Saturday, taking the 126-person Lewis & Clark Invite field in which half of the top-12 finishers were Raiders.

Tyler Swinton
Men’s Golf
 
Oregon Tech’s Tyler Swinton has been named the Red Lion Men’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Swinton, a senior from Haines, Alaska, led Oregon Tech to overall 2nd place finish out in the 12 team Tournament. He also led the Owls to new CCC record as they carded a team score of 272 in the 2nd round – 16-under-par – breaking the former mark of 278, set three different times by former member Concordia.

Conor Smith
Men’s Soccer - Defensive
 
Carroll’s Conor Smith has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Smith, a senior from Spokane, Wash., had a shutout against Evergreen and a game-clinching save in the final seconds against Northwest to close out the Carroll home schedule.

Jacob Groh
Men’s Soccer- Offensive
 
Carroll’s Jacob Groh has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Groh, a junior from Spokane, Wash., scored both goals against Evergreen then missed the Northwest game because of ROTC training.

Chandler Gabrio
Northwest Christian’s Chandler Gabrio has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
 
Gabrio, a senior from Creswell, Ore., hit .373 while averaging four kills and one block per set to lead the Beacons to a pair of wins. NCU lost to both Corban and WWU during the first half of the conference slate.

Haley Damian
Volleyball - Defensive
 
Northwest Christian’s Haley Damian has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Damian, a sophomore from Eugene, Ore., averaged 5.83 digs per set as the Beacons swept Corban and Walla Walla. NCU lost to both teams during the first half of the conference slate.

Sierra Porter
Volleyball - Setter
 
College of Idaho’s Sierra Porter has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
 
Porter, a senior from Eagle, Idaho, Averaged over 10 assists and nearly three digs and a block per set in two road wins.

Alyssa Harmon
Women’s Cross Country
 
Northwest Christian’s Alyssa Harmon has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Harmon, a junior from Otis Orchards, Wash., crushed a new NCU school record, becoming the first of two Beacons to break 17-minutes in the same race. Harmon finished second among collegians, behind the winning runner from University of Calgary and one unattached runner. Also defeated well-known professional runner Hillary Holt (17:14) for the first time.

Natalie Mullins
Women’s Golf
 
College of Idaho’s Natalie Mullins has been named the Red Lion Women’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Mullins, a freshman from Meridian, Idaho, Placed second overall, first among CCC golfers at the C of I Invitational,
 
Honorable mention: Janelle Ferlan, OIT
 

Kylie Moltzen
Women’s Soccer Defensive
 
Southern Oregon’s Kylie Moltzen has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Moltzen, a junior from Fremont, Calif., logged her fourth shutout in Cascade Conference play wth seven saves at Oregon Tech. SOU's last seven opponents have scored three goals, a span in which she's made 28 saves.
 
Honorable mention: Brittany Houghton, CI

Alejandra Guzman
Women’s Soccer Offensive
 
University of Great Falls’ Alejandra Guzman has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Guzman, a sophomore from Long Beach, Calif., scored the game-tying goal against Northwest that forced double overtime and earned the Lady Argos 1 point. Scored the first two goals against Evergreen, including the game winner.
