KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – In the first ever conference meeting between Oregon Tech and the University of Great Falls and the first meeting since 2008, it was the visitors from Montana coming away from Trevor Derrah Field with the 1-0 victory over Oregon Tech to improve to 6-3 in Cascade Conference play and 8-5 on the year. Oregon Tech slipped to 6-10 on the season and 4-8 in CCC play with the loss.
Jon Eric Krans took a deflected ball off the left post and scored from 15 yards out for the game’s only goal in the 20
th minute to give the Argos the 1-0 win and break a two game losing streak.
UGF out shot OIT 18-14 and held a 9-2 advantage in shots on goal as the Argos dominated possession.
Oregon Tech Keeper Gerardo Skews was kept busy picking up 8 saves for the game. Marc Girones was credited with 3 saves in picking up the shut out win for Great Falls.
The Hustlin’ Owls will next host Carroll College on senior day Saturday at 4:30 pm at Trevor Derrah Field at Steen Sports Park.
