Argos and Owls Play to a 2-2 Draw
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –Oregon Tech and the University of Great Falls played to a 2-2 double-overtime draw Friday night at Trevor Derrah Field in Cascade Conference play. Oregon Tech moves to 3-6-1 in the CCC and 5-8-2 on the season with Great Falls moving to 2-3-4 in CCC action and 5-3-5 on the year. Both teams remain in the hunt for postseason play with the draw.
Tarryn Miyamura gave the Owls the early 1-0 lead in the 16th minute as she converted a nice pass from Jodie Reoch. The goal was the first for the Owls over the last 289 minutes of play.
Just before the half the Argos tied the game at 1-1 as Ashley Klepec scored her first of two goals on the night in the 37th minute off a cross from Sandralee Deville.
Bailey Pimentel gave the Owls he lead back in the 65th minute taking a Miyamura pass and chipping the ball in for the 2-1 lead.
Klepec scored her second goal of the game in the 81st minute, converting a perfect pass from Lauren Ozdowski from 20 yards out.
The two teams would battle through two overtimes with neither team finding the game winner as match ended in a 2-2 tie.
For the game Tech held a 19-6 advantage in shots, and an 11-5 edge in shots on goal.
The Hustlin’ Owls will next host Carroll College on senior day Saturday at 7:00 pm at Trevor Derrah Field at Steen Sports Park.
