Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Oct. 19-25.
Alfredo Lara
Men’s Soccer - Defensive
Eastern Oregon’s Alfredo Lara has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Lara, a junior keeper from Salem, Ore., recorded two shutout victories…allied five saves to keep No. 9 Corban scoreless in an upset win on Friday.

Micah Sugiura
Men’s Soccer- Offensive
Multnomah’s Micah Sugiura has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Sugiura, a senior forward from Honolulu, Hawaii, recorded the game-winner goal against Walla Walla, giving the Lions their first ever Cascade Conference win and the programs first ever win. He added to his goal total, scoring against Trinity Lutheran.

Amber Parker
Volleyball – Attacker
Corban’s Amber Parker has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
Parker, a sophomore from Albany, Ore., the NAIA leader in kills per set, shined once again over the weekend by leading Corban to a pair of wins while averaging 7.44 kills per set in nine sets. She totaled 67 total kills on the weekend, while also adding 11 digs in wins over Northwest and Evergreen.

Sierra Porter
Volleyball - Defensive
College of Idaho’s Sierra Porter has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
Porter, a senior from Eagle, Idaho, recorded a career-high 7 blocks vs. Warner Pacific, while leading the team with 17 digs - eclipsing the 1,000 dig mark for her career- becoming the first player in C of I history with 4,000 assists, 1,000 digs, and 200 blocks...led the team with 13 digs vs. Multnomah, adding two more blocks along the way.

Madison McLain
Volleyball - Setter
Corban’s Madison Mclain has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
Mclain, a freshman from Albany, Ore., who ranks eighth overall in the NAIA in assists per set on the year, racked up 115 total assists in nine sets in two wins over the weekend, averaging 12.78 assists/set in the two victories. In Friday's upset over Northwest, she notched a career-best 63 assists. Also added 18 digs on the weekend.

Cindy Reed
Women’s Cross Country
Oregon Tech’s Cindy Reed has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Reed, a freshman from Klamath Falls, Ore., posted a personal best at 18:41 in the 5k, pushing herself to fifth all-time at Oregon Tech.

Jamie Carter
Women’s Soccer Defensive
Carroll’s Jamie Carter has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Carter, a junior from Camas, Wash., tallied two shutouts with six saves on a conference championship clinching road trip.

Crystal Schuder
Women’s Soccer Offensive
Eastern Oregon’s Crystal Schuder has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Schuder, a senior from Penticton, BC, scored the game-winner on Senior Day against NCU...She did the same thing against the Beacons in the squad's season opener.
