Red Lion Players of the Week Announced

The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period September 28 – October 4.

Garrett Kraal
Men’s Cross Country
 
Northwest Christian’s Garrett Kraal has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Kraal, a sophomore from Kennewick, Wash., hit a PR and missed a school record by one second, leading the Beacons to a sixth place finish at Charles Bowles Invitational (Willamette University).
 
NCU was the top CCC team and Kraal was the top CCC individual. Kraal was 8th individually but third among collegians with just two runners from UVIC ahead of him.

Reed Maggard
Men’s Golf
 
College of Idaho’s Reed Maggard has been named the Red Lion Men’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Maggard, a freshman from Homedale, Idaho, shot an even par 72 in dual with Northwest Nazarene, helping Yotes to their best team score of the year (303).

Joe White
Men’s Soccer - Defensive
 
Warner Pacific’s Joe White has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
White, a sophomore from London, England, stopped 12 shots during Warner Pacific's two road victories, allowing a single goal. His shutout vs OIT was his 3rd of the season.

Tanner Williams
Men’s Soccer- Offensive
 
The Evergreen State College’s Tanner Williams has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Williams, a junior from Sandpoint, Idaho, recorded three goals and five assists while playing only 105 total minutes in Evergreen's two convincing road victories. He is the conference leader with nine assists in eight matches and he ranks in the Top 10 in total goals and goals per game. He is second in the CCC in total points.

Kylie Porter
Volleyball – Attacker
 
College of Idaho’s Kylie Porter has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
 
Porter, a senior from Boise, Idaho, had a huge weekend that included a 16-kill, 0-error game in the win over #8 ranked Southern Oregon; finished with 26 kills in 49 swings with just two attack errors; adding 7 blocks (including 3 stuff blocks), as Yotes ran win streak to 6.

Piper Cantrell
Volleyball - Defensive
 
Eastern Oregon’s Piper Cantrell has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Cantrell, a senior from Ashland, Ore., was all over the place in two wins for EOU, tallying 35 digs in seven sets.
 
Honorable mention: Haley Wells, CRB, Brandy Velasquez, WPC, Kylie Lopez, CI
 

Rachelle Chamberlain
Volleyball - Setter
 
Eastern Oregon’s Rachelle Chamberlain has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
 
After recording a double-double vs. OIT (37 assists, 10 digs), Chamberlain, a junior from Challis, Wash., tallied 42 assists in three sets vs. SOU - her second-best effort in a three-set match this season.

Alyssa Harmon
Women’s Cross Country
 
Northwest Christian’s Alyssa Harmon has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Harmon, a junior from Otis Orchards, Wash., once again led the No. 2 Ranked Beacons and was the top collegiate finisher in her third straight meet. Led NCU to 61-point victory over No. 1 Ranked University of British Columbia with a new NCU school record. Bested her own personal best by 30 seconds.

Natalie Mullins
Women’s Golf
 
College of Idaho’s Natalie Mullins has been named the Red Lion Women’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Mullins, a freshman from Meridian, Idaho, shot a three-over 75 to place third as C of I dropped a duel vs. Northwest Nazarene.

Jessica Parker
Women’s Soccer Defensive
 
Eastern Oregon’s Jessica Parker has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Parker, a junior from Boise, Idaho, Recorded a pair of shutouts for EOU, tallying six saves in the process in wins over Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech
 
Honorable mention: Brittany Houghton, CI, Amanda Hadsell, NCU.
 

Zoe Anderson
Women’s Soccer Offensive
 
Eastern Oregon’s Zoe Anderson has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Anderson, a freshman from Torrance, Calif., became the all-time leader in game-winners at EOU with a goal in the Mountaineers' win over SOU. On the season, Anderson has 11 goals and four game-winners.
