• No. 20 Lourdes (Ohio) and No. 25 Carroll (Mont.) make their way into the Top 25.  This is the first time being ranked for Lourdes in school history. This is Carroll’s first time being ranked since pre-season 2013.
• Park (Mo.) jumped three spots from No. 18 tied last week to No. 15 in this week’s poll.

• The Great Plains Athletic Conference has the most schools appearing in the Top 25 Poll including: No. 4 Midland (Neb.), No. 11 Northwestern (Iowa), No. 14 Dordt (Iowa), No. 17 Concordia (Neb.) and No. 21 Hastings (Neb.).
• Biola (Calif.), which has been ranked among the top 10 in 45-consecutive polls, hold the longest active streak in the Top 25 at 115-straight. Columbia (Mo.) is next with 104-consecutive mentions.
• Five teams still have a perfect record after five weeks of competition including: Biola 15-0, Viterbo 21-0, Midland 20-0, Evangel 23-0, and newcomer Lourdes 16-0.
• Southern Oregon dropped 4 spots this week from No. 8 to No.12 after losing two games to bring their season to 15-2 after having a perfect record.
Poll Methodology
• The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and the Association of Independent Institutions.
• The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place and so on through the list.
• The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low ratings) is removed and the team’s ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appears on.
• Teams that receive only one point in the ballot are not considered “receiving votes”
