Yvonne Valencia scored two goals and added an assist and Maddy Spangler tallied one goal and two assists Friday afternoon to lead the visiting Southern Oregon Raiders to a 5-0 Cascade Collegiate Conference women's soccer victory over The Evergreen State College at Geoduck Pitch.

Southern Oregon (5-7-2 overall, 4-3-0 CCC) took a total of 27 shots compared to just four for Evergreen (1-7-0, 1-3-0).

The Raiders got on the board in the 28th minute on Lauren Aldana's unassisted goal, a strike from the left that she angled to the far side netting. Valencia got her first and the team's second in the 31st minute, taking Maddy Spangler's cross and scoring from short range. Sarah Garoutte tallied the team's third goal in the 36th minute, ripping a left-footed drive into the net after Valencia crossed the ball in from the left wing.

The first 21 minutes of the second half were fairly evenly played before the Raiders once again turned up the offensive pressure. Spangler scored an unassisted goal in the 77th minute and Valencia ended the scoring in the 80th minute, barely beating the keeper to a cross from Spangler and poking the ball into the net.

Kayla Baskett made four saves while playing all 90 minutes in goal for the Geoducks, while Kylie Moltzen and Andi Rasmussen each played a half without needing to make a save for Southern Oregon.

Evergreen returns to conference action at 2 p.m. tomorrow when it hosts the Oregon Tech Owls.
