SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – First-seed Rocky Mountain proved why they earned the top spot, beating College of Idaho 3-1 in the quarterfinals of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer Championship, presented by U.S. Bank.
 
Rocky Mountain scored early, with an unassisted shot by Steven Forbes but the Yotes found an answer moments later, as Admire Selimovic tied the match.
 
Neither team found an edge in the first half as the teams entered halftime tied 1-1. The Battlin’ Bears won the shot advantage 19-10, and added two more goals in the second half to advance in the tournament by a score of 3-1.
 
Rocky Mountain will face off against Evergreen in the semifinals after the Geoducks advanced on a 3-0 over Carroll. Match will be played tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m.
