Penalty Shootout Sends Great Falls Into Men's Soccer Final

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The University of Great Falls men’s soccer team advances to the championship game of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer Championship presented by U.S. Bank, in dramatic fashion, defeating Corban in a penalty shootout 2-2 (8-7).
 
Great Falls scored first in the opening moments of the second half when Renan Zampieri found a deflection and knocked it in at the 50th minute.
 
In a span of three minutes, Corban tied the game with a goal by Quamie Dinnall, fell behind again after a UGF goal by Lewis Derrett and tied the game again with a goal by Travez Whyte.
 
It can down to the 11th player for the Argos before a winner was finally declared.
 
The Argos will face fellow Montana school Rocky Mountain in the championship game on Nov. 14 at 12 p.m.
