LA GRANDE, Ore. – With the end of the 2015 Cascade Collegiate Conference volleyball season, the all-conference and postseason honors have been announced as College of Idaho’s Kylie Porter has been named the 2015 Volleyball Player of the year, after a vote by the head coaches.

Porter, a senior middle blocker from Boise, Idaho, helped lead her team to their fourth consecutive CCC title. The versatile four-year player caused fits for opposing defenses with her offensive prowess - leading the CCC with a .413 hitting percentage in conference counters, totaling 351 kills on the season. A force at the net as well, the 6-foot-3 Porter was key in the Yotes front line, averaging a block a game in CCC play, totaling 98 blocks on the year, The repeat All-Conference selection led her team in multiple categories including attack percentage and kills registering a match high 28 kills vs. Southern Oregon on Oct. 31. Porter was also named the NAIA National Attacker of the Week on two occassions this season.

As the CCC Player of the Year Porter will advance forward to the NAIA to be considered for All-American recognition.

Corban had one of their best seasons in recent history, making the postseason tournament with a record of 12-8, thanks to both the Libero of the Year in Haley Wells and the Freshman of the Year Madison McLain.

Wells, a sophomore libero from Albany, Ore., averaged a conference best 5.59 digs per set, tallying 525 digs on the year. McLain, also from Albany Ore., orchestrated the Warriors’ offense from the setter position totaling 1043 assists and the third best average in the conference of 11.10 assists per set.

Eastern Oregon’s head coach Kaki Morehead was been honored as the conference Volleyball Coach of the Year for the second year in a row after leading her squad to a regular season title and an overall record of 24-4, 18-2 in the CCC.
