FOUR WOLVES SCORE IN DOUBLE DIGITS IN LOSS TO NCAA D2 CENTRAL WASHINGTON

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Walla Walla University (2-4) had a sluggish start shooting just 37.5% from the field and 30.8% from behind the arc while home team Central Washington University (4-0) shot 57.8% and 50% from the field and behind the arc respectively in the first half.
WWU played much more precise ball in the second half but the key statistic in this match up was rebounding. The Wolves couldn't compete with the size of the Wildcats getting out rebounded on both ends of the court. CWU would end the game with a 26 to 7 second chance opportunities over WWU.
Even though the contest was never really in doubt, the Wolves had several bright spots and will look to build on them as regular season play starts up this next week.
Ethan Osias led both teams with 23 points and added 5 rebounds to his effort.

Jordan Underwood had a team high 6 rebounds to go with his 9 points and team high 3 steals.
Stat leaders for CWU were Joseph Stroud with 19 points and 4 blocks, Gary Jacobs with 10 rebounds and 9 assists.
Walla Walla University travels to Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho to start their first season in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with games at 7:30 pm on Saturday and 5:00 pm on Sunday.
