Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Nov. 2-8.
Chad Torkelsen
Men’s Basketball
Walla Walla’s Chad Torkelsen has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Torkelsen, a junior guard from Portland, Ore., led his team to one of the biggest upsets in school history, scoring 19 points in a 72-67 win over No, 23 Montana Western..

Ray Schireman
Men’s Cross Country
Southern Oregon’s Ray Schireman has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Schireman, a sophomore from Medford, Ore., won the individual title at the CCC Cross Country Championships, as he led his team to a first place finish.

Corynn Kopra
Volleyball – Attacker
Southern Oregon’s Corynn Kopra has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
Kopra, a junior from Gresham, Ore., led the Raiders both nights in kills during their weekend sweep, totaling 19 with nine errors, and also had 16 digs and five assisted blocks in the matches.

Haley Damian
Volleyball - Defensive
Northwest Christian’s Haley Damian has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
Damian, a sophomore from Eugene, Ore., closed the season on a high note, dominating on defense to keep the team in contention during both losses. Averaged 8.14 digs per set. Also had a 90% serve receive percentage. Posted best two dig totals of the season for NCU and of her career.

Kealia Rosa
Volleyball - Setter
Warner Pacific’s Kealia Rosa has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
Rosa, a freshman from Portland, Ore., recorded 111 assists in the weekend split against Evergreen and Northwest.

Jade Lowery
Women’s Basketball
Corban’s Jade Lowery has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Lowery, a senior guard from Oregon City, Ore., tied the school record with 39 points in Corban's season-opening win over Simpson, 88-83. While shooting 59.1% from the field, Lowery played all 40 minutes in the victory.

Sierra Brown
Women’s Cross Country
Northwest Christian’s Sierra Brown has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Brown, a junior from Jacksonville, Ore., won the individual title at the CCC Championship by four seconds over teammate Alyssa Harmon. Led top-ranked NCU to the conference championship as the team scored just 17 points, securing five of the top-six spots in the race (1,2,3,5,6). Brown was also named the CCC Runner of the Year.
Honorable mention: Amy Pfaff, CI
