Meister, a 6-foot-2 all-conference senior who missed SOU's first five games with an injury, helped the 15th-ranked Raiders improve to 6-0 with 21 points on 10-of-13 shooting in an 89-68 win at Simpson. Her presence also provided the Raiders with some space at the 3-point line, where they tied a program record for makes by shooting 14-of-27. The Raiders – who moved up one spot in Tuesday's first NAIA Top 25 poll of the regular season – open CCC play at 5:30 p.m. Saturday against Corban at Ashland High School's Mountain Avenue Gym. They also host Northwest Christian at 1 p.m. Sunday. And they'll be happy to do so with Meister back in the mix. She went 6-of-8 in her first half back to score 12 points along with Ashley Claussen and Courtney Setzer, giving SOU a 48-32 edge at the break against a Redhawks team that was coming off an upset of Oregon Tech. Claussen, who went 6-for-11 from 3-point range, ended up with 19 points and six boards. Majerle Reeves was the star from downtown, going 5-for-6 to score all 15 of her points. Setzer was stellar again with 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting, while Tiani Bradford and Demi Sahlinger distributed four assists apiece. Autumn Durand made all three of her attempts to chip in six points. SOU shot 49 percent (33-of-68) and kept Simpson at 39 percent (26-of-66) from the field. The Raiders are now 18-1 in the all-time series against the Redhawks, also taking a 104-82 affair in the season-opener in Ashland.
