Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Dec. 14-20.
Jordan West
Men’s Basketball
Southern Oregon’s Jordan West has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
West, a senior from Gymea Bay, Australia, scored a career-high 38 points Sunday at Northwest, including 29 on 11-of-13 shooting after halftime as the Raiders prevailed in double-overtime.
Down 10 with four minutes left in regulation, West bookended a 15-2 run with 3-pointers, going 4-of-7 from downtown on the day after hitting three triples in his previous six games combined.
He matched season-highs with nine rebounds in both games over the weekend, and his six assists and three blocks Saturday were career-highs.

Megan Whetstone
Women’s Basketball
Oregon Tech’s Megan Whetstone has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Whetstone, a senior from Highlands Ranch, Colo., scored 14 of her game high 18 points in the second half including a perfect six for six from the foul line All with game on the line leading Tech past Northwest University 73-70 on Saturday night.
She followed that on a short turnaround in a Sunday afternoon game, scoring a game high 22 points including a perfect 3 of 3 from long range leading her Owls past The Evergreen State 81-56 and into a three-way tie for first place in the CCC with Southern Oregon and Warner Pacific.
