College of Idaho Leads All-Sports Champion Race
LA GRANDE, Ore. – With five fall championships completed College of Idaho leads in the Cascade Collegiate Conference All-Sports Champion race.
Earning second place finishes in women’s soccer, women’s cross country and men’s cross country, as well as, third place in volleyball has earned the Yotes the top spot with 111.5 points.
In second place with 100.6 points is Southern Oregon University. The Raiders claimed their 8
th straight championship men's cross country and finished second in volleyball. For the first time in history SOU earned points in men’s soccer with the new program taking the field in 2015.
Eastern Oregon University, Corban University and Northwest Christian University round out the top 5 with 86.84, 82.36 and 72.25 points respectively. EOU claimed the volleyball championship while Corban was second in men’s soccer and fifth in volleyball. NCU repeated as champions in women's cross country and went on to win the school’s first ever NAIA National Championship. EOU also received points in men’s soccer as they, like SOU, fielded a team for the first time this fall.
