ASHLAND – As expected, the Multnomah University Lions weren't up to the task of slowing down the 13th-ranked Southern Oregon women's basketball team on Wednesday night at Mountain Avenue Gym.

The Raiders won 98-51 behind Carly Meister's 18 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks, setting up a meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday between the only two teams left that are still unbeaten in Cascade Conference play: SOU (12-3 overall, 5-0 CCC) and Warner Pacific.

After their first-ever matchup against SOU, the Lions dropped to 3-10 overall and 1-4 in the CCC.

They allowed four other Raiders to hit double figures: Sydney Mullings (16 points, seven rebounds), Ashley Claussen (13 points, five steals, four assists), Tiani Bradford (10 points, four steals) and Toria Bradford (10 points, four steals).

SOU's program-best start to the season was never in danger; the Raiders led 32-14 by the end of the first quarter and kept Multnomah at 28-percent shooting (17-of-61) on the night. They had advantages of 56-12 in the paint, 36-13 in points off turnovers, 29-13 on second-chance buckets on 26-0 in transition.

Despite going 4-for-20 from downtown – a season-low for 3-point makes – the Raiders still managed to shoot 50 percent (38-for-76). Twenty-two of their baskets were assisted, led by Demi Sahlinger's six.

Erin Houston added career-highs of eight points, five rebounds and four steals off the bench, and Emily Peters shot 4-of-5 for her eight points. Autumn Durand also had seven points and nine boards.

SOU has won its five conference games by an average of 34.4 points, including three by 45-plus.

Multnomah was led by Karissa Cox's 13 points and four rebounds off the bench. The Lions were forced into 28 turnovers.

Warner Pacific will come to Ashland following its 73-65 win at Oregon Tech, which had also been undefeated in the CCC prior to Wednesday's action.
