Durand, a 5-foot-11 junior wing, scored 18 of her season-high 28 points in the second half to help the Raiders (8-0 overall, 2-0 Cascade Conference) pull away. She also piled up six rebounds, five steals and four assists. The Beacons (4-5, 0-2) and SOU went back-and-forth in the first half and were tied at 54 midway through the third quarter. The Raiders led 56-55 before Demi Sahlinger knocked down a jumper, Ashley Claussen turned a steal into a layup and Durand drilled a 3-pointer from the wing to cap the 7-0 run. SOU's lead was never less than six the rest of the way. NCU kept it close by making six of nine 3-point attempts in the first half, offsetting Claussen's five first-half triples. Claussen finished with 23 points, four assists and three steals – marking her sixth 20-plus-point game of the season. She went 6-for-10 from outside and has made 17 of 30 3-point attempts in SOU's last three games. Durand, who was four points off a career-high, went 4-for-5 from downtown, making her 7-for-9 on the weekend. In their last three games, the Raiders have made an incredible 40 of 77 attempts from 3. The Raiders are one win away from matching the best start in program history. Carly Meister contributed 10 points and five rebounds, and Tiani Bradford went for nine points, five rebounds and three steals. Courtney Setzer added four more steals, giving the Raiders 20 as a team and a plus-14 turnover advantage. For the Beacons, Andrea Gloss filled up the box score with 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists, four blocks and three steals. Sami Pitts scored 12, Jenna Christenson had 11 off the bench, and Monique Thompson and Hanna Mack had 10 apiece.
