Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Nov. 30-Dec. 6.
Danny Powell
Men’s Basketball
The Evergreen State College’s Danny Powell has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Powell, a junior from Phoenix, Ariz., averaged 24.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, shot .600 from the field, .375 from three-point range and .905 from the free throw line in leading the Geoducks to a 2-1 record to start conference play. The Geoducks ended a 40-game conference road losing streak and opened CCC play with two wins for the first time since December 2010.

Karly LeVeque
Women’s Basketball
Oregon Tech’s Karly LeVeque has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
LeVeque, a senior from West Linn, Ore., followed up an 18 point and nine rebound performance, in a 70-59 win over NCU to open Cascade Conference play, with a career-high 33 points in an 87-77 win over Corban on Sunday to help the Owls to a 2-0 mark in the conference standings.
LeVeque grabbed 14 rebounds, handed out seven assists and recorded three steals on the weekend.
