The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period of February 9 – 15.

Markus Lively
Baseball – Pitcher
College of Idaho’s Markus Lively has been named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Lively, a senior pitcher from Buhl, Idaho, tossed a complete game allowing five hits with seven strikeouts in a 2-1 win over St. Martins

Michael Sexton
Baseball
Lewis-Clark State’s Michael Sexton has been named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week.
 
Sexton, a sophomore third-baseman from Puyallup, Wash., tallied 12 hits last week during the Warriors' grueling 11-games-in-nine-days road trip.
 
He had four extra base hits including a mammoth home run against San Marcos on Friday.

Demetrius Perkins
Men’s Basketball
College of Idaho’s Demetrius Perkins has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Perkins, a senior guard from Compton, Calif., helped the Yotes complete a 14-0 regular season at home, leading the team in scoring on back-to-back nights. He averaged 20 points on the weekend, making over 60 percent of his field goals and 3-pointers.

Anthony Johnson
Men’s Indoor Field
The Evergreen State College’s Anthony Johnson has been named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Johnson, a junior from Seattle, Wash., set a season best by clearing 2.16 meters (7-1) to win the high jump at the Husky Classic on Saturday. The following day he again won the high jump, this time at the UW Open, with a jump of 2.10 meters (6-10 3/4).
 
Johnson is ranked second in the NAIA.

Matthew Clowes
Men’s Indoor Track
Concordia’s Matthew Clowes has been named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
 
Clowes, a senior from Stoke-on-Trent, England, posted the top time in the country in both the 800 and the 3,000 at the Husky Classic on Saturday. Clowes broke the school record with a 1:49.85 in the 800 and lowered his season best in the 3,000 with an 8:05.18.
 
His 3,000 time now leads the NAIA by more than four full seconds.

Jessi Duncan
Softball - Pitcher
Oregon Tech’s Jessi Duncan has been named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Duncan, a senior pitcher from Battle Ground, Wash., went 2-0 on the weekend with 12 strikeouts and 2 walks.
 
 She also had game winning RBI against UBC.

Kelsey Randall
Softball
Southern Oregon’s Kelsey Randall has been named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.
 
Randall, a freshman short stop from Concord, Calif., went 17-for-33 with five extra-base hits and had seven steals in as many attempts.
 
Honorable mention: Tre Sullivan, OIT


Elisha Hensey
Women’s Basketball
College of Idaho’s Elisha Hensey has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Hensey, a senior guard from Las Vegas, Nev., led the Lady Yotes to back-to-back home wins, clinching a playoff spot. She recorded her third double double of the season vs. NCU, recording a career-high 8 steals

McKenzie Warren
Women’s Indoor Field
Concordia’s McKenzie Warren has been named the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Warren, a freshman from Boring, Ore., hit NAIA ‘A’ marks in both the shot put and the weight throw last week.
 
Her 47-5 (14.45m) in the shot put moved the freshman into the No. 4 position on the NAIA charts while her 54-1 1/2 (16.52m) in the weight throw rests as the No. 14 mark in the country.

Amy Pfaff
Women’s Indoor Track
College of Idaho’s Amy Pfaff has been named the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the week.
 
Pfaff, a freshman from Pasco, Wash., hit two NAIA "A" qualifying marks in Seattle.
 
She hit the 800 mark at the Husky Classic, then broke the school record in the 600 meters with a time of 1:36.88.
 
Honorable mention: Amelia Meguin, SOU
