Bracket Set for 2015 CCC Women's Basketball Championship presented by U.S. Bank

LA GRANDE, Ore. – After the final regular season weekend of the Cascade Collegiate Conference, the field is set for the 2015 CCC Women's Basketball Championship presented by U.S. Bank.  The tournament tips off on Tuesday night on campus sites.

The top seed goes to No. 17 ranked Eastern Oregon University. The Mountaineers defeated Evergreen Saturday night to earn the regular season title with a record of 24-5 overall and 16-2 in CCC play.  EOU will hold home-court advantage throughout the tournament. With the regular season title, EOU also earns the first automatic bid to the NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championships. The CCC receives two AQ’s to the national tournament.

No. 8 ranked Southern Oregon University earns the second seed after posting a big win over Concordia on Saturday night in Ashland. The Raiders finished the regular season with a record of 15-3 in conference play and 25-3 overall.  Southern Oregon will open the tournament at home and will host seventh seeded The College of Idaho.

The third seed goes to the resurgent Corban University Warriors.  Despite the loss on Saturday to Northwest Christian, Corban earns a home playoff date in Salem after  finishing in seventh place in 2014. The Warriors currently sit at 17-13 overall and 11-7 in CCC play.

The fourth seed and final home game goes to The Evergreen State College, The Geoducks will be hosting their first ever playoff game after seven previous trips to the post season all on the road. Evergreen posted a record of 10-8 in CCC play and 16-9 overall during the regular season.

Oregon Tech takes the fifth seed after going 2-0 this weekend.  The Lady Owls finish the regular season with a record of 20-10 overall and 9-9 in conference play.  They will open up the postseason on Tuesday at Evergreen.

The sixth seed goes to Northwest Christian who will hit the road again on Tuesday in a rematch of their Saturday night game at third seed Corban.  The Beacons posted a record of 12-14 overall and 8-10 in conference play.

College of Idaho earns the seventh seed and will travel to Southern Oregon on Tuesday.  The Yotes are 8-19 this season, including 7-11 in conference action after falling at Northwest to conclude the regular season.

The eighth and final seed goes to Concordia University. The Cavaliers hold a record of 12-15 overall and 6-12 in CCC play and will head to La Grande to take on Eastern Oregon in the first round.

The 2015 Cascade Conference Women's Basketball Championship presented by U.S. Bank begins on Tuesday night with all games set to tip at 7 p.m.  Tuesday's winners will meet on Friday night in the semifinal round with the winners of those games advancing to the championship on Monday, Mar. 2.
