Adidas Team of the Week Announced
LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University women’s basketball team has been named the Adidas Team of the Week for February 2-8.
NCU earned two key home wins against Warner Pacific College and Concordia University to get with ½ game of fourth place in the CCC and the potential to host a first round playoff game.
In the 59-53 win over WPC, NCU was led by senior Melyssa Weber scoring a double-double with 13 points, ten rebounds, and seven assists.
Against CU, Weber along with Allie Kelsey combined to score 30 points in their final regular season home game in the 71-66 win. Chandler Gabrio scored 14 points off the bench to go with a game-high nine rebounds. The NCU bench outscored their CU counterparts 35-18 in the contest.
NCU (11-12, 7-8 CCC) will resume CCC action next week as they travel to The College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon.
