PORTLAND, Ore. - WPC's home venue at Glendoveer Golf Course proved friendly to the Knight golf teams this weekend, as both the men and women came away with team wins at the Warner Pacific Spring Shootout held Saturday and Sunday.

The women's event was essentially a dual versus Corban University, with the Knights and Warriors entering four golfers each. Warner Pacific came away with the victory after posting total score of 745 (375-370) over the two rounds of play. Corban was just two strokes behind at 747 (372-375) and took home the individual title thanks to Brooke Spencer's top score of 177 (90-87). Taylor Akamine was the top WP golfer, placing 3rd overall with a score of 180 (87-93).

The Knight men claimed a team title versus Corban and first year program New Hope Christian. Concordia also participated in the tourney, sending four golfers who competed as individuals.

WP's total score of 600 (300-300) was two strokes better than Corban (300-302). Warner Pacific's Jeremie Eloy lit up the soggy course for a tournament low 67 in round two, and won the individual medal by seven strokes. Corban's Jared Lambert placed 2nd (74-75=149), while first round leader Jacob Berg hit the clubhouse in 3rd (73-77=150).
