Conference Standings Individual School Standings
CLEVELAND –
Southern Oregon claimed the lead in the final set of the NAIA Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup winter standings. The Raiders earned fifth place in men’s basketball and ninth in women’s basketball, bringing their total points to 589 after the fall and winter seasons.
In addition to the No. 1 SOU Raiders eight CCC schools have earned points in the Directors' Cup including; The College of Idaho No. 17, Concordia No. 19, Eastern Oregon No. 22, Oregon Tech No. 66, Warner Pacific No. 80, Northwest Christian No. 102, Evergreen No. 136 and Corban No. 143.
Lindsey Wilson is in second with 567.50 points, placing 17
th in women’s basketball.
2014 Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup winner,
Oklahoma Baptist occupies third place, earning a fifth place finish in women’s basketball, bringing their total points to 553.50 points.
The Tigers of
Olivet Nazarene are in fourth with 540.50 points after a 17
th place finish in men’s basketball.
Rounding out the top five is
Wayland Baptist with 521.50 points. They placed 17
th in both men’s and women’s basketball.
The
Sooner Athletic Conference leads all conferences with two institutions in the top 10 –
Oklahoma Baptist (3
rd) and
Oklahoma City (7
th).
Nine winter NAIA championships have been completed with the following institutions capturing titles:
Division I women’s basketball –
Oklahoma City; Division I men’s basketball –
Dalton State; Division II women’s basketball –
Morningside;
Division II men’s basketball – Cornerstone; women’s swimming & diving –
Oklahoma Baptist;
men’s swimming & diving –
Oklahoma Baptist;
women’s indoor track & field –
Oklahoma Baptist;
men’s indoor track & field –
Indiana Tech; and
wrestling –
Grand View.
The first NAIA spring standings will be released Thursday, May 28, 2015.
The Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and
USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 12 sports -- six women’s and six men’s.
