SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Oregon Tech sits in first place after two rounds at the Northwest Christian University Invitational, looking to secure their first ever CCC regular season tournament title. Individually, Corban's Kade Crossland posted a four-under 140 to lead the 42-golfer field.
OIT started the day strong, shooting a 294 in the morning round. The afternoon got even better for the Owls who shot a three-over 291, giving them a day one score of 585.
Corban currently holds second place, shooting 296-294--590 while Concordia is still in the hunt in third place (300-294--594). Spokane Community College sits in fourth at 596 followed by Warner Pacific (612) and The College of Idaho (673).
Crossland took the individual lead in the first round and improved his margin to three strokes as he shot matching rounds of 70 on Monday. OIT's Sean Adams (pictured) was the only other golfer under par for the day, shooting a 71-72--143 to hold second place.
Warner Pacific's Jeremie Eloy and Spokane CC's Michael Almonte are currently tied for third at even-par 144 and Corban's Jared Lambert is fifth after shooting a two-over 146.
Tourney host NCU is led by sophomore Sam Mar, shooting a 77-78--155 to hold 20th place.
The Northwest Christian University Invite will conclude at Springfield Golf Club with Tuesday's third round.
