The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period of April 20-26.

Ty Jackson
Baseball – Pitcher
Lewis-Clark State College’s Ty Jackson has been named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Jackson, a junior pitcher from Kennewick, Wash., threw his third straight complete game to open a pivotal series against British Columbia. The right-hander struck out eight and gave up just five hits to help the Warriors clinch at least a share of the NAIA West regular season title.
 
LCSC went on to sweep the series and take the title outright.

Seth Brown
Baseball
Lewis-Clark State College’s Seth Brown has been named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week.
 
Brown, a junior first baseman from Medford, Ore., upped his NAIA-leading home run total to 22 with a pair of home runs against British Columbia.
 
Along with the two blasts, he scored seven runs (ranks second in the nation in total runs this year), had seven RBIs, and stole two bases to help LCSC clinch the NAIA West regular season title.

Ryan Melnychuk
Men’s Golf
Concordia’s Ryan Melnychuk has been named the Red Lion Men’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Melnychuk, a sophomore from Grants Pass, Ore., posted a wire-to-wire win at the CCC Championships last week after hitting a 4-under 67 in the opening round.
 
Melnychuk went on to win the event by four strokes and help Concordia capture the tournament title by 42 strokes over No. 24-ranked Corban. Melnychuk leads the team with a 72.9 strokes per round average this season.

Danny Parks
Men’s Outdoor Field
Southern Oregon’s Danny Parks has been named the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Parks, a senior from Eugene, Ore., didn't need a season-best at Lane Community College's Titan Twilight to collect a win in the discus. He threw 154 feet 3 inches - his best this season, 166-9, meet the NAIA 'A' standard - and also took sixth of 18 in the hammer.

Ryan Rosenau
Men’s Outdoor Track
Eastern Oregon’s Ryan Rosenau has been named the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
 
Rosenau, a junior from Cashmere, Wash., hit the NAIA "A" standard as he won the Decathlon at the CCC Multi-Event Championships on Thursday and Friday.
 
Competing in his first decathlon in two years, Rosenau complied 6,687 points. He won three of the four running events for the Decathlon. His time in the 110 hurdles, 14.93, is his second fastest time in either an open or decathlon hurdles.

Mattie Boucher
Softball - Pitcher
Concordia’s Mattie Boucher has been named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Boucher, a freshman pitcher from Chelalis, Wash., tossed a complete game shutout in her first appearance in over a month due to injury on Friday for CU's 40th win of the season.
 
Boucher struck out five and allowed just three hits in the seven-inning performance.

Alexa Gonzalez
Softball
Southern Oregon’s Alexa Gonzalez has been named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.
 
Gonzalez, a junior third baseman from Menifee, Calif., Launched a three-run home run and had the go-ahead two-run single, all in the last two innings of SOU's come-from-behind victory 7-5 victory Friday over Concordia.
 
Gonzalez's line of five homers, 30 RBI and a .357 average is up from zero homers, nine RBI and a .185 average last season (when she started every game).

Kelsey Whiles
Women’s Golf
Concordia’s Kelsey Whiles has been named the Red Lion Women’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Whiles, a sophomore from Hockinson, Wash., won medalist honors at the CCC Championships last week with a tournament-low 6-over 77 on the final round.
 
Whiles led a 1-2-3-4 Concordia finish at the event to help the No. 19-ranked Cavaliers earn their eighth straight CCC Tournament title. Whiles went on to earn the CCC Golfer of the year award by averaging 80.0 strokes per round in the five conference events this year.

Tiana Thomas
Women’s Outdoor Field
College of Idaho’s Tiana Thomas has been named the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Thomas, a junior from Middleton, Idaho, Won the heptathlon with the second highest score in C of I history, winning 4 of 7 events.
 
Thomas also hit personal records in the shot put, javelin, and the 800-meters. Her 100-hurdles mark hit the NAIA "B" standard.

Nichole DeGrange
Women’s Outdoor Track
College of Idaho’s Nichole DeGrange has been named the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the week.
 
DeGrange, a junior from Boise, Idaho, broke the school records in the 200 and 400-meters, hitting the NAIA B in the 200 and the NAIA "A" in the 400.
 
She has not lost a race to a non-NCAA Division I racer this season.
