Adidas Team of the Week Announced
LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Concordia University men’s and women’s golf teams have been named the Adidas Team of the Week for April 20-26.
The Cavaliers ran away with the tournament trophies at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships earning the leagues automatic bids to the upcoming NAIA National Championships.
The men’s team finished the three-round tournament at 18-over par, (282-295-293—870), finishing with a 42-stroke margin. The team score of 870 set a CCC Championship record by 11 stroke margin over the previous mark of 881 also held by Concordia.
The women’s team captured its eighth straight Cascade Collegiate Conference Women's Golf Championships .The Cavs, with a three-round (338-328-325—991), defeated runner up The College of Idaho by 69 strokes.
Individual medalists included; Concordia's Kelsey Whiles (85-79-77—241) and Concordia’s Ryan Melnychuk (67-74-73—214).
