LA GRANDE, Ore. – With the 2015 spring championships completed Concordia University has captured the Cascade Collegiate Conference All-Sports Trophy for the seventh consecutive year.
The Cavaliers claimed league titles in men’s soccer, men's and women's golf and were co-champions in men’s basketball to finish the year with 149.5 points. CU picked up valuable points with second place finishes in softball and men’s and women’s track/field. In second place was Southern Oregon University with 131.3 points. The Raiders were champions in men’s cross country, co-champions in volleyball and earned second place points in women’s basketball and women’s cross country.
The College of Idaho, Corban University and Oregon Tech round out the top 5 with 119.3, 110.2 and 109.3 points respectively. C of I earned first place points in women's track/field while Oregon Tech was first in softball. The Warriors of Corban used solid finishes in multiple sports to amass points.
Points are based on regular season finish and are awarded for each institution sponsoring a sport. Final points and standings are determined using each institutions eight highest place finishes.
