ALBUQUERQUE, NM - The Eagle women's basketball team continued their week in New Mexico with a full day of basketball clinics at the Menaul School. Saturday was a busy day for the Eagle women's hoop team as they presented and worked community hoop clinics. They began their day bright and early with a clinic session for third through sixhth graders which ran from 9 a.m. to noon. After a short break for lunch, the team then welcomed junior high school and high school players at 1 p.m. for their second clinic of the day which would run until 3:30 p.m. The team welcomed over 60 young people to the clinics.

Said NU head coach, Ken Crawford, "We're very excited about the projects that we are helping with and the friendships that we are forming here."

Coach Gary Boatman, Menaul School Athletic Director and boys basketball coach was also excited about the developing relationship between the two schools. "I think it is a great opportunity for our students to learn from others...we are so appreciative of the NU women's basketball team and what they are offering our school."

The team was then treated to an authentic New Mexican dinner hosted by Coach Boatman.

The trip continues on Monday with more work around the school, visiting classes and working out with the boys and girls teams at Menaul before they depart for home on Tuesday, May 19.
