Katie Virtue got things started for the Owls with a lead-off walk, she was bunted over to second base by McKenzie Shrum and came in to score on an error on William Carey giving the Owls the early 1-0.

Jessi Duncan started in the circle for Oregon Tech and may have pitched her best game all year. Duncan didn’t allow a run over 7 complete innings spreading our 7-hits with 6-strikouts earning her 5th shutout of the season improving to 16-7.

Oregon Tech would add 2-unearned runs in the top of the 6th inning taking advantage of two Crusaders errors to increase its lead to 3-0. The highlight of the inning was perfectly executed double steal as Karly LeVeque stole second base and Oregon Tech catcher Ariel Fulkerson stole home as soon as the William Carey catcher threw down to second.

The Crusaders would not go down without a fight in the 7th. Taylor Brewer got things going with a 1-out single. Duncan then struck-out the next hitter Lindsey Webb for the 2nd –out. Relanda McFarland would then double to put runners at 2nd and 3rd but Duncan was able to get Cecilia Lawn to ground to short ending the game.

Tara Moates led the Owls with 3-hits giving her 99 on the year.

Taylor Brewer had 2-hits for William Carey as their season ends with a record of 42-19.
