Oregon Tech's Jason Corwin resigned his post after five seasons. Tech’s Corwin Resigns Volleyball Post after Five Seasons, Interim Named 6/25/2015 10:16:25 AM KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech volleyball coach Jason Corwin announced his resignation on Monday, saying he was presented with an opportunity to be closer to his children while continuing to teach and coach. Corwin will move to Cottage Grove High School and take over their volleyball program this fall. Over five seasons Corwin compiled a 72-72 overall record as head coach from 2010-14, including a 29-61 mark in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. The Owls went 21-14 in the recently completed 2014 season, Corwin’s best mark at OIT. Tech heads into the 2015 season after back-to-back postseason appearances in 2013 and 2014. Joey Parnell (Larsen), a former first-team all-conference outside hitter for Oregon Tech in 2011, will take over coaching duties on an interim basis for the 2015 season. Parnell competed for the Owls during the 2009 and 2011 seasons where in her senior campaign led the Owls in kills and aces, while finishing second in digs per set. In Cascade Collegiate Conference play Parnell ranked second in the league at 3.57 kills per set, first in aces per set (.59) and 15th in digs (2.83/set) where she earned all-CCC honors. Oregon Tech opens up the 2015 campaign on August 21 versus Montana State University – Northern in La Grande, Ore.
