LA GRANDE, Ore. – Corban University has received the Cascade Collegiate Conference Presidents’ Cup honor for the 2014-15 academic year the conference office announced today.
 
The Presidents’ Cup Academic Award recognizes outstanding overall academic performance.  Each member institution is scored using two criteria (overall student athlete GPA (men and women) and total number of student athletes receiving academic all- conference honors.
 
Corban earned a perfect 40 points throughout the year lead the way in both scored categories. The Warriors had a combined grade point average (GPA) among men and women student athletes of 3.35 and had 110 earn CCC Academic All-Conference. To be considered for Academic All-Conference a student athlete must be of sophomore standing, been at the school for two consecutive semesters or three quarters and have a 3.2 or higher GPA
 

Oregon Tech, Southern Oregon University, The College of Idaho and Northwest Christian University round out the top 5 with 32, 29, 28 and 24 points respectively.  OIT had a combined GPA of 3.22 and 81 student athletes named Academic All-Conference. The Raiders of SOU had a combined GPA of 3.25 and 61named Academic All-Conference. C of I had 75 named Academic All-Conference and a combined GPA of 3.21 while NCU had 56 named Academic All-Conference and had a combined GPA of 3.27.
