LA GRANDE, Ore. – Southern Oregon has been selected to continue its dominance after landing in the top spot in the 2015 Cascade Collegiate Conference men’s cross country preseason poll by a vote the conference head coaches.

Earning all eight first place votes, the Raiders totaled 64 points in the poll. Last year’s CCC Cross Country championship marked the seventh straight for the men as they chase Eastern Oregon’s all-time conference record of 10 in a row.

College of Idaho took second in the voting with 52 points. The Yotes finished fourth overall in the 2014 championships. Following COI are Eastern Oregon (45), who came in second a year ago, and Oregon Tech (44) who ended the 2014 conference season with a fifth-place finish.

Following the top half of the poll are Northwest Christian in fifth with 34 points and Corban in sixth with 23 points. Both teams finished in the same spots in the CCC championship meet.

Rounding out the bottom of the poll are Northwest (17) and Warner Pacific (9).

Note: Multnomah University as a new NAIA member is not eligible to compete in the 2015 NAIA or CCC Cross Country Championships.  The CCC does not have a regular season in Cross Country. As a result MU is not ranked in the preseason poll.
