Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
LA GRANDE, Ore. - The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period August 24-30.
Jordan Farr
Men’s Soccer - Defensive
Corban’s Jordan Farr has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Farr, a sophomore goalie from Turner, Ore., racked up six saves in the shutout victory over Embry-Riddle, a team which won its first game 10-0 and was also receiving votes in the NAIA National Poll.
Farr, in his first game back after missing all of 2014 due to injury proved vital in the triumph for the Warriors, as not only did he make saves, but he registered the assist on Corban's first goal of the game, playing a long ball over the top to an on-running Corban attacker who buried the shot to give Corban the lead.

Jose Porras
Men’s Soccer- Offensive
Carroll’s Jose Porras has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Porras, a freshman forward from Alturas, Guatemala, scored three goals in the Saints’ 4-1 win over University of Lethbridge.
With this performance, Porras is now fourth in the nation for goals scored

Emily Nay
Volleyball – Attacker
Eastern Oregon’s Emily Nay has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
Nay, a sophomore middle from Nampa, Idaho, came alive for the Mountaineers last weekend, as she averaged 3.35 kills per set and registered a career-high 18 kills in a five-set victory over (RV) Carroll College.
She was the mainstay on offense and led EOU to a 3-1 record at the Big Sky Challenge.

Haley Wells
Volleyball - Defensive
Corban’s Haley Wells has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
Wells, a sophomore from Albany, Ore., totaled 105 digs over the weekend at the Big Sky Classic, proving to be Corban's best defensive player.
The Warriors won two matches in the process.

Rachelle Chamberlain
Volleyball - Setter
Eastern Oregon’s Rachelle Chamberlain has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
Chamberlain, a junior from Challis, Wash., posted three double-doubles last weekend and was a big part of EOU's success at the Big Sky Challenge.
In addition to averaging 2.47 digs per frame, she tallied 12 assists per set.

Lia Unterholzner
Women’s Soccer Defensive
Rocky Mountain’s Lia Unterholzner has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Unterholzner, a junior from Manteca, Calif., recorded 11 saves in a 3-3 tie against University of Great Falls.

Jamiece Yizar
Women’s Soccer Offensive
The College of Idaho’s Jamiece Yizar has been named the Red Lion Defensive Player of the Week.
Yizar, a junior forward from Pocatello, Idaho, scored two goals and tallied one assist in a win over Sierra Nevada College.
