The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period September 14-20.

Jared Hixon
Men’s Cross Country
 
Southern Oregon’s Jared Hixon has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Hixton, a senior from Palmdale, Calif., was an All-American in the fall of 2014 and logged a 17-second win in his first race back to lead SOU to a team victory at the CCC Preview Meet. The first four finishers in the race were Raiders.

Josh Whitley
Men’s Golf
 
Oregon Tech’s Josh Whitley has been named the Red Lion Men’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Whitley, a senior from Gig Harbor, Wash., fired a final round 67 winning the Simpson invite and setting a new school record for lowest round. He finished first overall at the Simpson Invite.

Jordan Farr
Men’s Soccer - Defensive
 
Corban’s Jordan Farr has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Farr, a sophomore goalie from Turner, Ore., maintained his perfect 0.00 goals-against average with two more shutouts against Great Falls and Carroll over the weekend. He led Corban to a pair of victories.
 
Corban is the only remaining team in the NAIA with no goals allowed, much of which is due to Farr's efforts in goal. He tallied seven saves on the weekend.

Casey Oltman
Men’s Soccer- Offensive
 
Oregon Tech’s Casey Oltman has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Oltman, a senior from Ellensburg, Wash., now the Cascade Conference's leading scorer (with 8 goals), had a great weekend leading OIT to a 2-0 week.
 
Oltman scored a Hat trick on Friday night and followed that up with the game winning goal the next night as the Owls won back to back CCC games for the first time since 2013.

Abbey Fenton
Volleyball – Attacker
 
College of Idaho’s Abbey Fenton has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
 
Fenton, a junior from Burns, Ore., had a huge weekend for the Yotes as an outside hitter, averaging nearly 5 kills per set in the Yotes two home wins

Brandy Velasquez
Volleyball - Defensive
 
Warner Pacific’s Brandy Velasquez has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Velasquez, a junior from Gresham, Ore., totaled 43 digs over the weekend including 29 in the Knights’ win over Oregon Tech.

Sierra Porter
Volleyball - Setter
 
College of Idaho’s Sierra Porter has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
 
Porter, a senior from Eagle, Idaho, Established a 3-set career high with 47 assists vs. Evergreen (most in a CCC match since 2011), and averaged 14.6 assists per set for the weekend.

Alyssa Harmon
Women’s Cross Country
 
Northwest Christian’s Alyssa Harmon has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Harmon, a junior from Otis Orchards, Wash., won her second consecutive race, leading the No. 2 ranked Beacons to victory at the Cascade Collegiate Conference preview on the campus of Corban University.
 
Despite the course measuring slightly longer than 5000m, Harmon posted the fifth-fastest time of her career. Please note: The official results list Sierra Brown as No. 1 and Alyssa Harmon as No. 2. This is an error that was reported but not corrected by the timers at the event.

Kylie Collom
Women’s Golf
 
Oregon Tech’s Kylie Collom has been named the Red Lion Women’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Collom, a freshman from Klamath Falls, Ore., played in her first collegiate tournament and fired a final round 77 to win the Simpson Invite. Her 77 was the tournaments low round by 4 strokes.

Jamie Carter
Women’s Soccer Defensive
 
Carroll’s Jamie Carter has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Carter, a junior from Camas, Wash., earned her third-consecutive shutout and fourth on the season to lead the Saints to two, 2-0 wins.
 
Honorable mention: Jessica Parker, EOU


Zoe Anderson
Women’s Soccer Offensive
 
Eastern Oregon’s Zoe Anderson has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Anderson, a freshman from Torrance Calif., Scored twice in a 3-0 upset over No. 20 Northwest. Anderson now has nine goals on the season - already tying a school record as a freshman.
