The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period September 21-27.

Jared Hixon
Men’s Cross Country
 
Southern Oregon’s Jared Hixon has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Hixton, a senior from Palmdale, Calif., was the top NAIA finisher in a field full of NCAA Div. I at the Stanford Invite. He placed 17th out of 283 runners in the 8K and helped SOU to a 10th-place team finish.

Houston Knox
Men’s Golf
 
Oregon Tech’s Houston Knox has been named the Red Lion Men’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Knox, a sophomore from McKinleyville, Calif., set the Oregon Tech record for consecutive low rounds, shooting 69 and 68, and ended up tied for first with two other teammates in the OIT Invite.

Tim Kagey
Men’s Soccer - Defensive
 
Corban’s Tim Kagey has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Kagey, a senior form West Linn, Ore., led the No. 14 Corban men's soccer team to two more shutouts and wins, extending its shutout streak to nine-straight games to begin the 2015 campaign.
 
He anchored the Warrior defense that allowed just four shots on goal for the entirety of the weekend.

Luis Torres
Men’s Soccer- Offensive
 
Great Falls’ Luis Torres has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Torres, a senior from Bogota, Columbia, had the overtime winings goal in both games against Eastern Oregon and Warner Pacific.

Amber Parker
Volleyball – Attacker
 
Corban’s Amber Parker has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
 
Parker, racked up 56 kills in two matches over the weekend, in addition to 21 digs, leading Corban to split results.

Ashlyn Flynn
Volleyball - Defensive
 
Southern Oregon’s Ashlyn Flynn has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Flynn, a freshman from Phoenix, Ore., matched a season-high with 24 digs Tuesday at Oregon Tech as she helped the Raiders keep opponents to attacking averages of .178 and    -.045 last week.

Lauren McGowne
Volleyball - Setter
 
Southern Oregon’s Lauren McGowne has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
 
McGowne, a junior from Coos Bay, Ore., registered her third 50-plus-assist match of the season Tuesday at Oregon Tech, adding a season-high 11 digs in the same match.
 
She led the Raiders to attacking averages of .212 and .318 on the week, extending their best start to a season since 1991.

Jessa Perkinson
Women’s Cross Country
 
Southern Oregon’s Jessa Perkinson has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Perkinson, a sophomore from Roseburg, Ore., was the top NAIA finisher on the 6,000-meter course at the Stanford Invitational and SOU’s top finisher by 17 seconds.

Natalie Mullins
Women’s Golf
 
College of Idaho’s Natalie Mullins has been named the Red Lion Women’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Mullins, a freshman from Meridian, Idaho, became just the fourth C of I golferto shoot 72 or less in a round, winning the OIT Invite to open the CCC season.

Kylie Moltzen
Women’s Soccer Defensive
 
Southern Oregon’s Kylie Moltzen has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Moltzen, a junior from Fremont, Calif., was in goal and made nine saves total as the Raiders completed consecutive shutouts for the first time since the 2013 season. She also moved into sole possession of third place on SOU's career shutouts list with 12.

Presley Lambert
Women’s Soccer Offensive
 
Southern Oregon’s Presley Lambert has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Lambert, a junior from Santa Clarita, Calif., logged game-winning goals on consecutive days -- in the 49th minute Friday at Corban and in the 88th Saturday at Northwest Christian.
 
They were the ninth and 10th goals of her career, and they gave the Raiders back-to-back wins for the first time since mid-2013.
