Raiders, Owls settle on 1-1 draw 9/3/2015 9:00:00 PM SOU Sports Information ASHLAND – The Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech women's soccer team went the final 53-plus minutes of Thursday night without a goal in a 1-1 nonleague draw at Raider Stadium. SOU's Kylie Durant converted first with her second goal of the season 92 seconds before halftime. Durant – a junior who redshirted last season after transferring from Oregon Tech – took Avery Dutton's pass from the sideline and fired from 10 yards deep, directing it from the right box to the upper-left corner of the goal. OIT junior Tarryn Miyamura had the answer in the 57th minute on a counter-attack, as Cassidy Gosvener led her up the middle and set up a one-on-one shot attempt that skipped past Raider keeper Kylie Moltzen. SOU's record went to 1-1-2 and OIT's to 1-1-1. The teams will meet for a Cascade Conference match on Oct. 16 in Klamath Falls. The Raiders are 0-2-4 in overtime games since the beginning of last season. A night after scoring 12 goals, they had another sizable advantage in shots, 27-10, but Owls keeper Emma Niskanen made 10 saves. Both teams registered two shots apiece during the extra sessions. SOU begins a seven-game road swing – matching the longest in program history, the other occurring during the 2004 season – on Monday at NCAA Div. II foe Stanislaus State (Calif.).
