CALDWELL, Idaho – Sadie Pilgeram connected on six 3-point baskets, scoring five of her 24 points in a 15-2 run to close the first half, as Corban University defeated The College of Idaho, 77-71, inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

Jade Lowery had 27 points and 10 rebound for the Warriors (11-9, 6-5 CCC), who completed the season sweep of the Lady Yotes.

C of I (4-14, 3-9) jumped out of the gates quickly, making 58-percent of their first quarter field goals, as a Kiara Skinner rebound and put back at the buzzer gave the Yotes a 22-13 lead after the opening frame.  Lowery and Pilgeram answered with 3-pointers, part of an 11-2 run to open the second quarter, to pull even at 24-24.  The Lady Yotes built a 29-24 lead on two Madison Pilster free throws at the five minute mark, but Payton Wilcox drained a pair of baskets, Julia Young converted two lay-ups, Lowery canned a triple, and Pilgeram had a trey and a jumper, as the Warriors bolted to the locker room up 39-31.

Petra Lumpert, who connected on her first nine field goal attempts for the Yotes, splashed a 3-pointer with six minutes remaining the third quarter to pull C of I with 45-42 – but Pilgeram and Lowery kept the hosts at bay, as Pilgeram scored nine points and Lowery tallied five points to close the frame, giving the Warriors a 62-54 lead.  C of I made one final push, using a 6-0 run, capped by two Ryleigh Swagerty free throws, to cut the gap to 70-66, but the visitors made 7-of-10 free throws to close out the win.

Pilgeram made 9-of-12 field goals in the victory, adding nine points for the Warriors, with Young and Annie Owen each scoring eight.

Lumpert scored 27 points to lead C of I, with Haylee Burnham scoring 13 points and adding a career-high seven assists, and Swagerty scoring 12 in the loss for the Yotes, who dropped their fifth-straight game.

The Lady Yotes return to action tomorrow, hosting Northwest Christian at 5:30 p.m.
