KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - College of Idaho (12-6, 7-3 CCC) escaped Oregon Tech (7-9, 3-7 CCC) Saturday with a 4-set victory 3-1 (25-16, 25-23, 25-27, 25-21) in Cascade Collegiate Conference volleyball action at Danny Miles Court.

The Yotes got off to a great start, handling the Owls 25-16 in the first set. C of I dominated the net with a hitting percentage of .222 while holding the home team to a negative .026 hitting percentage.

Set 2 started just like set 1 with the Yotes building a quick 8-4 advantage. This time, OIT responded, scoring 6 of the next 8 points, to tie things up at 10. The two teams battled and were tied again at 20. C of I then won 5 of the next 8 points to win 25-23.

Oregon Tech took that new found confidence with them into set 3 going toe to toe with the Yotes. The set was tied 8 times before Tech finally took a 24-20 lead. Out of a C of I timeout the Yotes rolled off the next 5 points to take the lead 25-24. OIT responded winning the next 3 points to win 27-25.

In the final set the Yotes seemed to gather back a little swagger, as they cruised to a 25-19 win.

Abby Fenton had 11 kills with Brenna Meehan adding 10 to lead the C of I offense with Jayde Folsom holding down the middle with 21 assists on the night.

Tech was led by Faryn Case and Kelsey Sampson with 9 kills each.

Tech will look to bounce back on the road next weekend with games at Evergreen State and Northwest.
