Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period October 10-16.
Nic Maszk
Men’s Cross Country
Eastern Oregon’s Nic Maszk has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Maszk, a junior from Baker City, Ore., finished third out of the non-NCAA D1 schools at the Inland Empire.
Honorable mention: Connor Cushman, SOU
David Murphy
Men’s Golf
Oregon Tech’s David Murphy has been named the Red Lion Men’s Golfer of the Week.
Murphy, a senior from Rogue River, Ore., fired a final round (-4) 68 as he captured medalist honors and finished the tournament at five under par.

Cole Catlin
Men’s Soccer - Defensive
Rocky Mountain’s Cole Catlin has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Catlin, a junior from Billings, Mont., recorded two solid shutouts over the weekend against Eastern Oregon and Warner Pacific.

Jake Zimmerman
Men’s Soccer - Offensive
Evergreen’s Jake Zimmerman has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Zimmerman, a junior from Olympia, Wash., factored in 3 of 5 goals on the weekend - including game winner vs. Carroll, helping Evergreen remain unbeaten in CCC play

Brenna Meehan
Volleyball – Attacker
College of Idaho’s Brenna Meehan has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
Meehan, a junior from Post Falls, Idaho, led the Yotes in kills in all three matches, totaling 49 kills in all, including wins against the #6 and #24 teams in the NAIA

Cheyan Coburn
Volleyball - Defender
College of Idaho’s Cheyan Coburn has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Defender of the Week.
Coburn, a senior from Moore, Idaho, recorded career-highs in back-to-back matches, recording 23 digs vs. Eastern Oregon and 30 digs vs. Northwest - averaging 6 digs a set over the weekend, without a reception error.

Jayde Folsom
Volleyball - Setter
College of Idaho’s Jayde Folsom has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
Folsom, a senior from Gresham, Ore., recorded 85 assists in three matches including wins over #6 Eastern Oregon and #24 Northwest.

Jessa Perkinson
Women’s Cross Country
Southern Oregon’s Jessa Perkinson has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Perkinson, a junior from Roseburg, Ore., running the 6K for the last time this year, completed the McIver Park course in 21 minutes 49 seconds in a field of 72 runners. She cleared second place by a full 23 seconds with a mile pace of 5:51 for her first victory of the season, leading SOU to second in the team standings.

Natalie Mullins
Women’s Golf
College of Idaho’s Natalie Mullins has been named the Red Lion Women’s Golfer of the Week.
Mullins, a sophomore from Eagle, Idaho, has finished in the Top-4 in all four Cascade Conference events this fall, earning medalist honors at the Walla Walla Invitational...holds the top scoring average through the fall season in the CCC

Lauren Hellum
Women’s Soccer Defensive
Northwest’s Lauren Hellum has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Hellum, a senior from Puyallup, Wash., did not allow a goal in 212 minutes of play this weekend in the Eagles shutout of Great Falls on Friday and the 0-0 tie with Carroll College in double overtime on Saturday. Hellum made a save in each overtime period to prevent a Carroll score.

Mhari Smith
Women’s Soccer Offensive
Rocky Mountain’s Mhari Smith has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Smith, a freshman from Edinburgh, Scotland, scored two goals in conference road wins including overtime winner against Eastern Oregon University.
