CALDWELL, Idaho – The Evergreen State College used an 11-1 shot advantage in the second half to earn the equalizing and go-ahead goal, as the Geoducks remained unbeaten on the season with a 2-1 win over The College of Idaho at Simplot Stadium.

Miguel Viramontes corralled a loose ball in the box early in the 48th minute and beat C of I (4-9, 3-7 CCC) keeper Grant Billings to the far post to tie the score.  Inside the final 10 minutes, Crisantos Chavez played a through-ball to the foot of Ryan Porch, who laced an 8-yard shot to the back post for the game-winner.

The Yotes controlled much of the first 30 minutes, as Joao Cardoso took a Carter Perry cross in the box in the 28th minute and looped a 15-yard shot into the top left corner of the net for an early lead.  However, the Geoducks (8-0-3, 7-0-3) allowed just one shot on goal the rest of the day to keep themselves atop the Cascade Conference table.

ESC held a 19-12 edge in total shots, adding nine corner kicks in the victory.

C of I closes out their home schedule on Sunday, hosting Northwest University at Noon – the final home game for four senior student-athletes.
