Southern Oregon University Leads All-Sport Race
LA GRANDE, Ore. – With five fall championships completed Southern Oregon University leads in the Cascade Collegiate Conference All-Sports Champion race.
The Raiders earned first place points for their 9
th consecutive championship in men’s cross country, as well as, splitting points with Carroll College for their co-championship in women’s soccer. SOU also earned points in men’s soccer with a tie for 3
rd place and 5
th place in volleyball.
In second place with 103.9 points is Corban University. The Warriors tied for first place in men’s soccer and earned points for 2
nd in volleyball and 3
rd in women’s soccer. Corban harriers bolstered the fall sports tally with a 5
th and 6
th place finish in women’s and men’s cross country.
Eastern Oregon University, The College of Idaho and Northwest Christian University round out the top 5 with 92.05, 87.87 and 81.65 points respectively. EOU claimed the volleyball championship while CI was second in both men’s and women’s cross country. NCU earned their third consecutive championship in women's cross country and will look to defend their 2015 NAIA National Title this weekend.
