#6 Rocky Mountain Advances in PKs over #3 Corban

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – For the second time in the quarterfinal round, teams ended regulation and overtime in a tie, as sixth-seeded Rocky Mountain upset No. 3 Corban, 1-1 (8-7), in penalty kicks to advance to the semifinals of the 2016 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Championship, presented by U.S. Bank.
 
Rocky Mountain keeper Lia Unterholzer was constantly under pressure as the Warriors launch 22 shots, 12 shots on goal, throughout the game. Unterholzer tallied 11 saves while stopping the final penalty shot attempt during the shootout to secure the victory for her team.
 
Rocky Mountain will prepare to face top-seed Carroll in one of tomorrow’s semifinal matches.
